Board of Trustees & Staff

Clearbrook Waterworks is governed by an elected Board of Trustees. The Trustees are dedicated individuals who are committed to the sound oversight and responsible direction of Clearbrook Waterworks District. The Board reviews financial and operational reports from management staff at monthly Board meetings.

The District is operated by a staff that is passionate about the value of water and diligent in the execution of their duties.

Secretary
BIOMaja is a mom, conservation biologist and has lived in Abbotsford for 12 years. She is excited to apply her knowledge and love of the environment as a trustee to help serve her community

Rudy Teichrob

Treasurer
BIO

Rudy is a CPA, CGA with 39 years of experience. Self-employed since 1980, Rudy has owned a trucking company, a public service accounting firm and more recently, a financial planning practice. Rudy has volunteered in several capacities on various boards and has also coached softball and basketball at the high school and college levels. Rudy has lived in the Clearbrook Waterworks District for 42 years so it only made sense in his retirement, to bring his considerable expertise in financial planning and budgeting to the Board of Clearbrook Waterworks. 

Dean Shepit

Trustee
BIODean has lived in Abbotsford for nearly 40 years, and of those years, has lived within the CWD for approximately 33 years. He has volunteered hundreds of hours within the Abbotsford community while involved with various organizations over the years. From working with youth, to volunteering as a board member of a non-profit society, to currently running an Abbotsford-area drop-in soccer group. Dean owns and runs his own business and is currently the Director of Business Development for Clean Answers, as well as an instructor at the University of the Fraser Valley. Dean is the former Chair of the Board with Cares Counselling Society.

Quentin fincaryk

Chair
BIOQuentin has served as a Trustee at Clearbrook Waterworks for over five years, currently as Chair. He is the Chief Development Officer at Alpha Canada, and also serves on the national board for the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy - Canada. Quentin has enjoyed living in Clearbrook with his wife and three children since 2015.

Matt Peters
Vice-chair
BIO

Matt was born and raised in Abbotsford, and had always heard about the Clearbrook water being the best in the world. Having moved into the District in 2021, he can confirm, it is! Matt works as a manager for a local painting company and is also a trusted mortgage broker. Him and his wife recently welcomed their first child into the world, and happily spends his time with his family, at work, and playing as much hockey as possible.

Jason began his career with CWD in 2008 as a system operator and is very proud to have worked his way into his current role as the administrator. 

Danette Haar Financial Administrator CPA, CGA BIO

Danette joined Clearbrook Waterworks in 2011and enjoys the work life balance that CWD offers. Danette loves to spend her time with her family while enjoying the great outdoors. With two boys in the early French immersion program Danette and her husband are trying hard to learn some French. C’est difficile…

Jasnoor MannAdministrative Assistant BIO

Jasnoor is a fourth year biology student at the University of the Fraser Valley.  She combines her academic strengths with a passion for reading, baking, and painting. Jasnoor’s deep connection with nature inspires her interest in biology and aligns with her role of being an administrative assistant at Clearbrook Waterworks District.

 

James Wiens Field Supervisor, WDSO II BIO

James has been with Clearbrook Waterworks since 2008 and has lived in the District since 2011. He grew up in Abbotsford, graduating in 2001. James has a young daughter who keeps him on his toes. When he’s not working, James likes to get outdoors where he enjoys hitting the trails on his quad. James truly loves his job and looks forward to many more years with the District.

Ryan Federau Water Quality Technician, WDSO II BIO

Ryan has been a fixture here at Clearbrook Waterworks since 2006. He grew up on a chicken farm and spent summers picking raspberries, after which he spent several years as a brick mason's apprentice. Ryan currently lives in the District with his wife and their dog. When he has free time, Ryan enjoys cooking, gardening, camping, slo-pitch baseball, hunting, and telling bad jokes.

Ryan (aka Jr) started working for Clearbrook Waterworks in 2021. Ryan is a family man who likes spending time with his younger brothers, sisters and the apple of his eye, his daughter. In his free time, Ryan likes cooking, watching TV and playing music with his band.
